The backbone of the Evo-Engine is made up of an interplay of the following technologies, all of which come from the building block of Artificial Intelligence (AI). We use computational intelligence (CI), which includes all types and techniques for subsymbolic (numerical) knowledge processing, such as: Fuzzy Logic (FL), Neural Networks (NN), Genetic Programming (GP) and Evolutionary Strategies (ES) as well as other less widely used approaches. CI techniques work usually "bottom-up", whereby order and structure emerge from an unstructured beginning.

The innovative technology portfolio surpasses the limits of traditional methods, both in numerical size and in the complexity of the problem being studied. Deep expertise in a wide range of natural computing (natural analogue) methods makes this possible.
